Cattle ranching is a vital component of the Montana Mexican John Ranch. Cattle are born, raised and fed on our Montana ranch. Raised on pasture, cattle receive hay and ranch-raised forage during tough Montana winters then finished on a silage-based ration. In addition:

  •  Our cattle never, ever receive added growth hormones

  • Fed according to strict guidelines

  • Have access to fresh water at all times

  • Raised using best animal husbandry practices

  • Receive immediate and appropriate medical care when necessary

You can purchase beef from MT Mexican John Ranch but you’ll need to line up a meat processor. In 2019, 2021 it was difficult to find a processor that wasn’t completely booked up. Contact Steve Coale, Montana Mexican John Ranch owner, for more information.
